Current Vacancies

Driver Care Assistant

30 hours per week (Monday – Saturday)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the community-based services team at The Hospital of God. Your role as a Driver Care Assistant will be to work across Hartlepool Day Centre and Minerva House in Horden (and other community based services as required), to provide a wide range of meaningful activities and support to people with a dementia. You will work across the two centres, depending on the needs of the services, covering driver and care assistants’ absence.

The work can be physically and mentally demanding, and the person appointed to the post will be expected to have a good understanding of caring for people with a diagnosis of a dementia or related illness or memory impairment.

Location: Heather Grove, Hartlepool, TS24 8QZ. This post will require working across sites in Hartlepool and East Durham based on service delivery needs.
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday – Saturday) on a rota basis
Job Purpose: To be part of a caring team, providing a wide range of activities and support to people with a dementia, including transporting and assisting them to and from the day centres.
Salary: £11.43 per hour

Care Assistant

25.25 hours per week (Monday – Sunday)

Stichell House is a Residential Home in Hartlepool, set in the landscaped grounds of the beautiful Greatham estate. We offer 35 en-suite bedrooms, in a purpose built, modern facility with outstanding levels of care.

Our Care Assistants play a critical part in delivering person-centred outcome-focussed care to maintain the health and wellbeing of our residents and empower them to have independence, autonomy, choice and control in their lives.

Location: Based at Stichell House, Greatham, Hartlepool
Hours: Average of 25.25 hours per week covering a rolling shift pattern (Mondays to Sundays (including Bank Holidays). A copy of the rota is included in the Job Description.
Job Purpose: To provide high quality care and empower residents to have independence, autonomy, choice and control in their lives.
Salary: £11.36 per hour
Contract Period: Permanent
