Assistant Director Land & Property

£70-75k subject to qualifications and experience

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled Assistant Director to join our charity. This role has been specifically created to play a key role in the charity’s organisational growth, modernisation and transformation.

With a focus on Land & Property, you will lead, shape and drive improvements in the charity’s strategic estate management strategy and oversee key developments and capital projects. You will also contribute significantly to the broader developments to position the charity with the right structures, ways of working and leadership to make the best use of its resources, its time, and its people.

We are looking for a strategic thinker, who can form strong, collaborative relationship while driving transformation. You will have a successful track record, with at least 7 years’ experience within a senior leadership position. Knowledge of charity governance is preferable but not essential. Commercial acumen and highly effective communication and interpersonal skills are also a must. We need someone who can balance an emotionally intelligent leadership style with integrity and professionalism and the focus to get the job done.

Location: Hybrid working with a base at the Estate Office (Greatham, Hartlepool), and regular travel to other charity properties in the North East.

Assistant Cook

£11.55 per hour (pay award pending)

We are looking for a passionate Assistant Cook who thrives on making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. We want someone who will help our residents enjoy every day by making sure they receive the quality nutritional experiences they deserve.

Location: Based at Stichell House, Greatham, Hartlepool

Hours: Average of 26.25 hours per week on a rolling rota. Mondays to Sundays (including Bank Holidays).

Job Purpose: To assist the Cook with the preparing of a variety of nutritionally balanced meals for residents and staff

Contract Period: Permanent

Care Assistant (community services) - 30 hours per week

£11.44 per hour (pay award pending)

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join the team at The Heathers Day Centre (Hartlepool), to provide a wide range of meaningful activities and support to people with a dementia. The role is a six-month fixed term contract.

The work can be physically and mentally demanding, and the person appointed to the post will be expected to have a good understanding of caring for people with a diagnosis of a dementia or related illness or memory impairment.

Location: The Heathers Day Centre, Hartlepool

Hours:
30 hour per week / 4 days (Monday–Saturday) on a rota basis

Contract Period:
Fixed Term Contract (6 months)

Dementia Advisor

£11.60 per hour (pay award pending)

We are looking for an experienced Dementia Advisor to join the team at The Bridge, a dementia advisory service in Hartlepool, which supports people from the beginning and throughout their journey with dementia.

The Dementia Advisor role is central to enabling people to live well with dementia. They will provide people living with dementia, their families and carers with practical and emotional support, advice and access to resources, activities, groups and other community programmes that will sustain, as far as is possible, peoples’ independence, existing lifestyle and relationships.

Location: The Bridge, Greenbanks, Hartlepool and other community-based locations as required

Hours:
18 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Key Requirement:
Valid current UK driving license and access to a car during working times

Care Assistants (Full & Part Time Positions)

£11.44 per hour. Pay Award Pending

At Stichell House, we are looking for people who are compassionate about caring for others and have full-time and part-time vacancies.

Set in the landscaped grounds of the beautiful Greatham estate, Stichell House is a modern residential home in an enviable location. We offer 35 en-suite bedrooms, in a purpose built, modern facility with outstanding levels of care.

Our Care Assistants play a critical part in delivering person-centred outcome-focussed care to maintain the health and wellbeing of our residents and empower them to have independence, autonomy, choice and control in their lives.

Location: Based at Stichell House, Greatham, Hartlepool

Hours: Full & Part Time positions available on a rota basis. Mondays to Sundays (including Bank Holidays).

Key Requirement: Part time positions are a minimum of 23 hours per week
