The Heathers is a warm, welcoming place in Heather Grove (Hartlepool) to relax and meet up with friends or meet new people. This is a community space for people of any age living with dementia, those experiencing memory problems or anyone who is isolated and lonely.
There are many different activities that you can be involved in throughout the week and a lovely café to grab a bite to eat and a cuppa whilst you’re there. The café is home to Just Heat who runs the café at The Heathers serving food, tea and coffee, as well as delivering hot meals to the community.

The Heathers is also home to day care services including Community Pastimes and Hartlepool Day Centre.
This community space is a central point to access other services of support from benefit advice, carer support and digital inclusion. The Heathers has a large, secluded garden area so you can enjoy a variety of gardening activities in a safe space and take advantage of the outdoors.
This also is the meeting point for the Young Onset Dementia Group in Hartlepool, who meet there every Thursday morning. The Young Onset Dementia Group is a group for people living with YoungOnset Dementia and their families to have fun whilst supporting family and friends. Throughout the time mam spent with you, she received the most excellent care and support from the time she was collected to returning home. She was able to enjoy socialising and enjoying life and activities with you on each visit.
